Welcome to Christmas Songs for the Curious Guitarist!  This is the ultimate guitar lessons course to get you ready for the Christmas holiday.  Learn 20 of the most popular Christmas songs on the guitar - each in two different versions, basic and full.  The basic version takes you through the chords as well as the simple melody, to be played individually or as a duet with a friend.  The full version is a solo arrangement with the chords & melody combined to create a full sound for every song, whether you are performing, playing for friends & family, or for your own pleasure.

Any kind of six string guitar will work well for this course - electric, acoustic, or classical.

Every video in this course has a PDF attachment in the "additional resources" tab that students can download or print.  These PDFs are the chords, tabs, and guitar lessons.

The course begins with a guitar primer in which you'll learn all the basics that you'll need to play both versions of all 20 songs.  You'll learn about reading tablature, understanding arrangements, chords, rhythm & strumming, time signatures, and other valuable techniques to get you ready to play these songs.

We'll also discuss the history of Christmas music to give us a deeper appreciation for the songs and to give you some stories to tell your people in between regaling them with holiday guitar music.

This course has three sections: Guitar Basics, Songs - Basic Arrangements, and Songs - Full Arrangements.  In the Basic Arrangements, I strum the chords all the way through the song, then I play back the looped recording of the chords and play the simple melody along with the chord loop.

This course is designed for the beginner guitar student as well as the advanced guitarist.  Every level of player can learn these songs. Advanced players may use these arrangements to quickly get a setlist for holiday guitar gigs or other performances.
